AUDIO – DESCRIPTION:
On London Today (NewsTalk 1290AM CJBK, London, Ontario, with host Andy Oudman) Paul McKeever, leader, Freedom Party of Ontario, discussed the party’s electricity election plank: restoring affordable energy by pulling the plug on already-exist, over-priced Liberal green-energy deals, without a penalty. The topic exploded, the phone lines lit up, and Oudman continued to take calls for the entire hour.
NOTE: one half-hour later – in a 30 minute show-ending segment that allows callers to call in to talk about whatever they want to talk about – the phone lines again filled with callers wanting to talk about Freedom Party’s pull-the-plug plank. Unfortunately, that segment was not caught on tape.
Listen to the entire conversation:
“Freedom Party of Ontario leader Paul McKeever today is condemning the Liberal, PC, and NDP parties for their decisions each to honour already-existing over-priced Liberal green energy deals. The already-existing deals favour “green” wind and solar electricity generators, and pay them at above-market prices for their electricity. In the current Ontario provincial election, Freedom Party alone is promising to pull the plug on already-existing agreements with preferred green energy generators, and it says that the law now will impose no penalty for doing so…”
