radioAUDIO – DESCRIPTION:

On The Tom McConnell Show (NewsTalk 1290AM CJBK, London, Ontario) Robert Metz, leader, Freedom Party of Ontario, called in to join the discussion about the release, today, of Ontario’s new sex education curriculum. Teaching children age-appropriate things about sex is fine, he says, but the curriculum also sneaks-in a political agenda: a re-definition of “consent”.

2015-02-18.mansur-thumbVIDEO – DESCRIPTION:

On February 18, 2015, former Freedom Party of Ontario candidate Dr. Salim Mansur (professor of political science at Western University) appeared on CBC’s “Power and Politics”in his capacity of spokesperson for Muslims Facing Tomorrow (a pro-democracy, anti-theocratic group of Canadian Muslims) to discuss the federal government’s new anti-terrorism legislation. The other panelist was University of Ottawa law professor Amir Attaran.

Mansur’s position was that 14 years after 9/11, we still are unwilling to acknowledge the fact that the main terrorist threat in Canada is that posed by pro-Sharia, anti-democratic, Islamic theocrats. There will be problems balancing privacy and security in all legislation, but better action must be taken to identify those who have murdered Canadians, and who plan more of the same, argues Mansur.

Attaran condemns Mansur for singling out Islamic terrorism. He submits that Canada is safer than it has ever been and has done fairly well – in terms of the number of Islamic terrorist murders it has suffered, etc. – since 9/11. He argues that although the new legislation would not allow police to sexually assault or otherwise assault a suspect, it would allow them to threaten to do so. Attaran does not address how anyone would take such a threat seriously, if the law continues to prohibit following-through on such hollow threats. Continue reading »

radioAUDIO – DESCRIPTION:

On January 21, 2015, Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever published his essay “Simon Says Sex: The Nature and Purpose of the ‘Affirmative Consent’ Campaign” on his blog, http://blog.paulmckeever.ca. Eight days later, on January 29, 2015, McKeever was the guest of the Just Right radio program (hosted by Robert Metz and Robert Vaughan). The discussion canvassed, in brief, most of the points raised in McKeever’s essay. McKeever explains that affirmative consent – a radical feminist approach to determining the presence or absence of consent to a sexual act – is a revolutionary idea that replaces the presumption of innocence with the presumption of guilt, and that serves to drive the sexes apart as a means to a communist end. Ontario’s premier, Kathleen Wynne, has instructed Liz Sandals, the Minister of Education, to add “consent” to Ontario’s sex ed program (which already teaches about consent) and McKeever points to some clues that the sex ed program might instead be introducing the teaching of affirmative consent.

NOTE: The segment on affirmative consent ran for the last three quarters of the show.

radioAUDIO – DESCRIPTION:

On The Live Drive with Andy Oudman (NewsTalk 1290AM CJBK, London, Ontario) Paul McKeever, leader, Freedom Party of Ontario, discussed his opposition to the Ontario government’s January 12, 2015 announcement that it would grant $50M to Guelph auto and wind-turbine parts manufacturer Linamar. Freedom Party had issued a media release about same shortly before. Oudman also asked McKeever what he thought about Ontario PC leadership candidate Monte McNaughton’s January 12, 2015 announcement that he would pull the plug on wind turbine contracts in Ontario. McKeever replies that he thought it was a good idea when Freedom Party first proposed it during the 2014 election, and that he was happy to see McNaughton steal the idea.

“Freedom Party leader Paul McKeever has objected to the Wynne government’s announcement today that Ontario will give $50M to Guelph auto parts manufacturer Linamar Corp.

“One proper function of the Ontario government is to ensure that nobody is looted by his neighbour”, said McKeever. “The Wynne government instead is offering to do the looting for one of our neighbours”…” Click here to read the full media release.
