THE EATON'S UNION CAMPAIGN
Cover of Fp "Union?" brochure |
When Freedom Party discovered a group of dedicated, hard-working activists fighting to defend a union organizing drive at their workplace, Eaton's, we thought we might be in a position to help even out the odds against them. Out of money and denied the legal right to seek the official assistance of Eaton's, the Pro-Eaton Commitee had the courage and attitude necessary to stand up to union power and political advantage. So we made them an offer they couldn't refuse: At no cost or obligation to anyone, Freedom Party wrote, edited and designed a literature package for the Pro-Eaton Committee in its bid to protect employees' freedom of association on the job. The campaign resulted in a decisive victory for freedom of choice.
THE PAN-AM GAMES CAMPAIGN
Freedom Party begins its campaign to stop the tax-paid Pan-Am Games from coming to London and our efforts are covered in a local London newspaper. In a letter to the editor of the London Free Press, Fp President Robert Metz clarifies the issues surrounding the taxpayer-funded bid. And, articles in the London Free Press contain discussions of the issues and reaction to our campaign.
